Risa Brown recently helped me buy my next home in a super-short escrow process (8 days!). Unlike other agents I worked with in the past, I didn’t feel pressured by her to bid beyond my comfort or walk-away price in multiple-offer situations, which could lead to emotional over-paying. In fact, on the first offer I lost, she reiterated that we made a clean, competitive offer. Because I was looking from outside of the county, I needed each home tour we went on to cover as many properties of interest as possible. She created a good schedule and itinerary each time, including accommodating my late additions, making an otherwise tiring and somewhat stressful process smoother—including always ending in the city that put me closest to my long drive home in traffic. Because of my need for a short close, she also had the foresight to ask an inspector to put a hold on his schedule, while we were still negotiating with the sellers. She helped me take care of the final walkthrough virtually, and was on top of what I didn’t want to remain in the unit before transfer of keys—which she also took care of while I couldn’t get away from work.
